What YouTube did for video and Spotify did for music, Atlas does for place. Every bar, restaurant, shop and venue becomes a record with structured attributes, so places can be queried properly rather than searched for by name and hope.
The problem is that the physical world has no clean index. Reviews are prose, listings are inconsistent, and the useful detail, whether a place takes walk ins, whether it is loud, whether it has a back room, sits in nobody's database.
Atlas builds that layer. The attributes are structured, so you can ask for the thing you actually want rather than reading forty reviews to find out.
